This is my first attempt at a milky way shot. I was attending a workshop, there was around 20 of us all perched in the bushes at o dark thirty waiting for the core to rise over the mountain. The mountain was lit by light pollution from a nearby mining operation.
While I see nothing but flaws, the image has proven popular amongst my email list. And it won Picture Of The Day on CaptureMyArizona.com. I'm happy with my first attempt.
