I was not aware of this "arch" over Orion's head until I read about it in Sky & Telescope this week. I reckon that you can indeed make an arch out if those Winter stars. But I see lots of neat patterns in the sky. If I was around in ancient Greek times you would know the Constellations by totally different names. Some of which I'm afraid may be obscene.
