This was a Lyrid meteor streaking across the night sky last night around 10:00pm, about 30-minutes before moonrise. The meteor shower is supposed to peak the night of April 22/morning of April 23, but since cloudy skies are forecasted for the Dallas area tonight, I took a chance yesterday under clear skies and was rewarded with a streaking Lyrid!

Image EXIF: 15 sec exposure at f/2.8, ISO 125 - some minor adjustments to the image for contrast/brightness. Image itself is a cropped version to show the streaking meteor a bit more prominently.
