Finally got a glimpse of Mercury setting behind a mountain that consumes 10deg of my Western horizon! Mercury is right on the Ecliptic tonight, moving northward each day. From mid-Northern latitudes, the Ecliptic makes a negative angle with the horizon, so you kids will have a great apparition over the next few days. Me, I have to contend with that mountain!
