The Moon's orbital plane is inclined 5deg to the Ecliptic (the Earth's orbital plane around the Sun). Meaning, the Moon crosses the Ecliptic twice a month and it's distance from the Ecliptic varies by +/- 5deg. The Pleiades reside 3deg north of the Ecliptic and the Hyades reside 5deg south. Every month the Moon travels between them. This time around, the Moon is 4deg south of the Ecliptic. It will pass close to Aldebaran.
