I caught a glimpse of comet C/2018 Y1 (Iwamoto) on the evening of February 12 not long after its closest pass by earth at some 45 million km away. It was a bit chilly out (-32°C), and my camera was struggling with the cold. I took the images just outside of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Canon 60D with a Sigma 18-35mm ƒ/1.8 set to ISO 1600 and 5.0s for the wide shot, and a Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 [APO] DG Macro set to ISO 4000 and 5.0s for the zoomed insert all mounted on an iOptron SkyTracker Pro

Some cropping and adjustments to brightness, contrast and colours using Affinity Photo then assembled using photoshop.
