A sunpillar at sunrise in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina near Brevard. Multi-layered cloud cover was making for a very active sky. We don't get many sun pillars here, this was a pretty nice one and lasted for a few minutes as the sun was visiblebetween the horizon and the low clouds.
