I was so focused on the bright planets Venus & Jupiter this morning & the star Antares twinkling nearby, that I nearly forgot about the moon setting behind me. It was nearly covered by then behind a line of tall thick trees, until I remembered I could probably see it at the end of our driveway. Sure enough, there it was setting slowly over the ancient Robledo Mts., just a few minutes after official sunrise. These mountains are the site of the Prehistoric Trackways from the Permian & Paleozoic eras. Hard to grasp that the desert, valley, & mountains here were once under water &/or along the coast of the Hueco Seaway!
