We have seen coronas around the Sun and the Moon, but this morning, just before sunrise, I had the chance to see it around Planet Venus. This photo shows the corona surrounding Venus as viewed from Singapore today. It results from thin mid-level clouds in our atmosphere(troposphere), drifting in front of Venus. Venus is considered as Earth's sister planet that is currently the brightest planet and capable of creating a corona. In the picture, Jupiter is seen with Venus.
