Cloudy skies were expected, but it was crystal clear here. I set up the camera on a tripod outside the house and went out periodically to gaze up at the moon and get some shots, making sure to get this one at the time of maximum eclipse. I referred to EarthSky for all the time references.
Canon 60D with Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 lens with a 2x teleconverter = focal length 400mm. ISO 800, f/5.6, 1.3 sec exposure.
Adobe Camera Raw adjustments, Adobe Photoshop for finishing touches, including unsharp mask and highlight/shadows.
