We had a beautiful clear night to watch the lunar eclipse create the blood moon. I started shooting around 8:30 pm mst with a full moon then continued into the night until midnight. The orange image is the total lunar eclipse at 10:40 pm mst. I chose representative samples of the shadows progression from amongst my best shots to create the timeline.
I shot this with a 200mm telephoto lens on a nikon D750
